Worth a Thousand Words

It's hard to believe that the half-way point of MasterWorks 2012 has already come and passed!  In light of the familiar phrase, "A picture is worth 1000 words," we decided to give you a classic photoblog, featuring some happenings around campus and on stage.

But before that--back by popular demand--we give you another series of "highlights" from the (approximate) half-way point of MasterWorks:

  • "Work service has actually been a lot of fun.  I've loved being behind the scenes with the stage crew."
    - Daniel Dickson
  • "That we've reached the half-way point."
    - Samantha Biniker
  • "Each person participating in a Bible study group was given the name of another person to serve throughout the festival.  It's been fun to be in the office and watch people come in and out, telling us their plans of how to secretly serve their designated friends.  Meanwhile, we've had to keep it a secret, because we've got almost all of the partners figured out!"
    - Janelle Berry
  • "John Kasica's hot sauce."
    -Anthony Patti

Without further ado, a photoblog for your perusal:

Theatre Improv Night! A campus favorite...and this year's was no different.  The group performed lots of hilarious sketches, followed by a time of worship and enacted prayer.  Very cool.
(P.S. Make sure you come to a performance this weekend!)

MasterClasses and coachings have filled many an afternoon, and our performances are all the better because of it.  We're so thankful for the godly, talented faculty (like Roger Frisch, pictured above) the Lord brings to MasterWorks each year.

The VISP program has been dedicated to practice, prayer, and insightful MasterClasses with faculty like Faith Esham (above).  Don't miss their exciting performances next week!

Sadly, this is the last week for our phenomenal Dance Program.  Come see the results of their hard work tonight at 7:30 or tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center!  You'll see breathtaking dances from Swan Lake and other classic pieces.

Speaking of the dance performances... Here's a rare shot of the Philharmonic Orchestra in the pit during a dance rehearsal.  (Shout out to our photographer, Kevin.)

Sunday morning worship services have been significant and memorable times of worshiping Christ as a whole group.  From the eveloping sounds of brass ensembles to challenges to take a break from media, we've had quite the variety of uplifting times of growth.

A few crazy storms tore through Winona Lake last weekend, causing many parts of the surrounding communities to lost power for a time.  Despite the havoc it brought, the storms didn't prevent MasterWorks performances from happening.  Praise the Lord!

And finally, a shot of the our entire (or as close as we can get to entire) MasterWorks family.  What a blessed summer it has been so far!
