Theatre Program Audition Requirements

Applicants must submit:

1) Application form completed in full

2) Application fee (application cannot be processed until fee is received)

3) Current résumé and/or summary of all stage experience and training

4) Current headshot

5) A video recording of highest quality demonstrating the students’ present ability containing:

*A monologue

*Scenes or excerpts from plays in which you have acted

This year's play will be co-directed by Rich Swingle and John Kirby. Because Mr. Kirby may not be able to attend auditions for the play, those students accepted to the program will have the opportunity to audition for Mr. Kirby by uploading a video of a monologue from the play for a character for which they'd like to be considered. If you would like to submit such a monologue, this will also count toward your audition for the program.

The MasterWorks Festival 2010 play is The Miracle Worker by William Gibson.  Please purchase the Samuel French acting version for auditions and bring it to the Festival if accepted. For more information review our blog post “Theatre Program Updates,” and visit the theatre program director link:  RichDrama.com/TheMiracleWorker

Post your audition video to YouTube.com as a private video with a "limited access URL" if the script is copyrighted. Be sure to hit save or the URL it generates will not work. Then send the link to MWFadministrator@mwfestival.org. Alternatively, you may send a DVD to the MasterWorks Festival.
