Auditioning for MasterWorks

Audition Requirements:

Orchestra & Chamber Music Programs
Dance Program
Wind Intensive Study Program
String Intensive Study Program
Guitar Intensive
 Vocal Intensive Study Program
Piano Program
Theatre Program
Technical Internship Program

You are welcome to submit your audition by sending either a hard copy CD or DVD or submitting a digital recording through youtube, dropbox, or another large file sharing site after you have filled out your online application.

Live auditions:

For your convenience, MasterWorks hosts several live audition sites around the United States:

Instrumental and Vocal Audition Locations:

  • Indiana University, Bloomington, IN: January 28, 2012, 1:00-5:00 pm
  • Wheaton Conservatory of Music, Wheaton, IL: February 4, 2012, 3:30-5:30 pm
  • University of Michigan School of Music, Earl V. Moore Building: February 18, 2012, 1:00-5:00 pm
  • Cleveland Heights, OH: March 10, 2012, 10 am-1 pm

Dance Audition Locations:

  • Troy, MI, Link Schools of the Arts (DANCE ONLY):  February 4, 2012, 12:30-2:15 pm. 
  • Belhaven University, Jackson, MS (DANCE ONLY): February, 25, 2012, Time TBA
  • Fort Wayne, IN, New American Youth Ballet and Conservatory (DANCE ONLY): March 10, 2012, 3:00 pm

After finding your audition requirements above, please read the information on the Before You Apply page carefully so that your application will be submitted properly. Incomplete applications will cause a delay in processing your application and audition.  Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until each program has been filled.
