Terrence Byrne

Terrence Byrne, MFW '98 and '99, attended the University of Maryland, College Park. Here he studied trombone performance, with the late Milt Stevens, and Chinese linguistics. Leaving the university, Terrence enlisted in the Navy bands and served for four and a half years, stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. While in the Navy he had a few opportunities to perform solo with the ensemble as well as conduct on some later occasions. After leaving the military in the middle of 2008, Terrence went to China to further his studies and has been there since.
