Samantha Biniker

Recently, pianist Samantha Biniker, MWF '06-'08, played with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. "I played the same piece I won the Competition with at MW last summer! (Ravel G Major Piano Concerto)," exclaims Samantha. "It was an amazing experience." Samantha, however, is not a newcomer to TSO. In 2004, when she was fifteen, she won TSO's young artist competition and the chance to solo with the symphony. Her recent performance was born out of her previous experience, as they asked her to come back and play in TSO's 65th anniversary celebration. "It was a huge honor to be a part of such a cool concert," says Samantha. "I guess it was a bigger deal than I was expecting. Either that, or this semester has just been so busy I haven't had time to over-think what it was that I was actually going to do."
