Faculty Bio: Patrick Kavanaugh
Dr. Patrick Kavanaugh is the Executive Director of the Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship. The author of nine books including The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers, he also has written many articles for such publications as the National Review, Focus on the Family, and Charisma. He has lectured extensively at many universities, churches, the White House, and the State Department, and has appeared on hundreds of music and talk shows of both radio and TV. For three years, he was appointed to music panels of the National Endowment for the Arts. Dr. Kavanaugh has appeared as a conductor at many major concert halls in America, and in 1993 became the first American conductor invited to conduct an opera at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater.
