Lisa-Beth Lambert

Violin

B.Mus. Curtis Institute, MM Cleveland Institute. Ms. Lambert, a violinist in the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2001, was previously a member of the National Symphony Orchestra. An active chamber musician, she has appeared at the Marlboro and Kingston Music Festivals, on Marlboro’s Fiftieth Anniversary recording, at the White House, on NPR’s “Performance Today,” and with the Brandenburg Ensemble, the Smithsonian Chamber Players, and the Twentieth Century Consort. She has performed on numerous chamber series in Philadelphia including those of the Orchestra, Art Museum, and Chamber Music Society; in Washington she appeared in the Library of Congress and Terrace Theater Series. Her teachers have included Donald Weilerstein, Jaime Laredo, Yumi Ninomiya Scott, and Ronda Cole, with whom she began studying at age three. Ms. Lambert has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra and the New World Chamber Orchestra (Mexico City). During the past few seasons, she has presented the Mozart sonata cycle with pianist Lambert Orkis at several east coast venues.
