Kris Becker

Pianist and composer Kris Becker, MWF '97, '98 and '07, was a semi-finalist in the 2008 Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York and has recently garnered prizes in several competitions besides, including the Corpus Christi and Wideman international competitions. A Yamaha Young Performing Artist, Kris has been heard on both WQXR New York and KUHF Houston this year in performances of Bach and original works. His new CD KRIS BECKER LIVE has gained much attention and he has just taken a position as keyboardist for Second Baptist Church of Houston, America's largest denominational congregation. Between performing, teaching, and composing, Kris is happily busy in the Lord's service. He says, "In a time of doubt, God used MasterWorks to renew my determination to excel in my art, and above all to share His love in all that I do." Information can be found here.
