Theatre DirectorL.A. Acting Coach, praised in the Hollywood Reporter by the late manager Calvin Mason as "An actor’s guardian angel," John Kirby has over thirty years experience in teaching. John’s coaching career has taken him all over the world including: New Zealand with Disney’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Australia where he coached the young stars of Peter Pan, and Scotland to work with his longtime client for over thirteen years, Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, The Count of Monte Cristo) on the film Stroke of Genius. John has also coached for the Disney film Stick It. Other notable projects include Walt Disney Picture’s Count of Monte Cristo, Warner Brother’s Pay It Forward and Angel Eyes, New Line Cinema’s Highwayman and Frequency, MGM’s Madison and 20th Century Fox’s High Crimes. Internationally, his experience has been shared on camera with "A&E Biography of Cameron Diaz," HBO, USA, Entertainment Tonight, E! Entertainment Television and Entertainment Weekly. John can also be seen in England’s ITV eight part documentary series, "Desperately Seeking Stardom." John teaches three intensive scene study classes at The John Kirby Studio in Hollywood.
