Faculty Bio: Jake Muzzy
B.A. Excelsior College, MM Cleveland Institute. Studied with Carol Ourada, Hans Jorgen Jensen, and Stephen Geber and has won awards including first prize in the National Federation of Music Clubs Student Auditions. He held the position of principal cellist of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra for four years. He is on the faculty of the Wheaton College Conservatory and director of Faith Community School of the Arts. He performs with his wife Hannah (harp) as the duo 51 Strings, which has concertized across the United States and in Argentina. At concerts they speak about the lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives and in music. Jake and Hannah have three sons and make their home in the Chicago area.
